Eliseu Antunes Pereira Gomes da Silva, who holds a doctorate with distinction and is a specialist in music, is a conductor and violinist with an international career, pedagogue and artistic director of festivals. He has had the opportunity to play for important figures on the world stage, such as the Presidency of the European Commission, the Japanese Emperor, Spanish royalty, various Portuguese presidents and rulers, among others. He has been a jury member at various national and international violin competitions, including the Alice and Eleonor Schoenfeld International Violin Competition, the Hong Kong International Competitions, the Talents for Europe International Violin Competition, the Wanda Wilkomirska International Violin Competition, the Music and Stars Award and the Guimar\u00e3es International Violin Competition. He has given several recitals and concerts as a soloist and in chamber music throughout Portugal and in countries such as Japan, China, Australia, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France, Slovakia, Romania, Belgium, Holland, Italy, England, Malta, Hong Kong and Macau. He was co-coordinator of the Hong Kong International Music Festival, where he conducted the festival orchestra, the Macau Chamber Orchestra and the Schenzen Symphony Orchestra in China. He has played as a soloist with several orchestras conducted by various international conductors, such as Leon Spierer, Jean-Christophe Gautier, Anna Wirtsbuch, Colin Touchin, Julius Mickalsky, Christian Briard, Ant\u00f3nio Saiote, Ces\u00e1rio Costa, Ivo Castro and others. He has given several Master Classes in Portugal, China and Australia, including Shanghai University, Beijing, Tinjin, QinDao, Darwin, Bratislava and others. Eliseu Silva composed 24 Fado caprices to commemorate the 240th anniversary of the birth of Nicoll\u00f3 Paganini and the 10th anniversary of Fado being recognized as an intangible heritage of humanity. Eliseu has made several recordings for R\u00e1dio Portuguesa Antena 2, recorded for Deutsch Gramophone and Munich Re Group with conductor Pierre Boulez and the Gustav Mahler Jungendorchestre. He has won several prizes in national and international violin competitions, including the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe International Competition, the Malta International Violin Competition, the Antena2 Young Musicians Prize, the J\u00falio Cardona International Violin Competition, the Estoril International Interpretation Competition and others. He has received several merit diplomas and scholarships as the best student of 2003 and 2004 from the I.P.P. In 2013, he won a competition promoted by the Portuguese National Culture Center, with the aim of supporting the most interesting project in music at a national level. He finished his PhD in Musicology - Performance and Interpretation with distinction in 2020, in a partnership between the University of \u00c9vora, the University of Porto and the biomechanics laboratory LABIOMEP, with several articles published in various international journals, such as Springer Nature Switzerland AG, and RISTI, indexed in Scopus and ISI Web of Knowledge. He obtained the title of Specialist in July 2016 from the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. He was invited by Professor Uwe-Martin Heiberg to join his class at the Hochschule fur Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin. He did a postgraduate course in performance and completed a master's degree in Pedagogy and another in Orchestra and Music and Instrument Teaching. He studied Psychology at the University of Porto. He finished all the main cycles of study at the Porto Conservatoire and the University with the highest marks. As a teacher, his students have been invited to play in the world's leading concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Beethoven House in Bonn, Germany, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, among others. He is resident conductor of the Bonj\u00f3ia Porto Youth Orchestra, an organization based at the Silva Monteiro Music Course and supported by Porto City Council, the Ministry of Education, BPI bank and Bial. He finished his master's degree in 2010 with an orchestral conducting project. He took conducting lessons with Jean Sebastien Bereau, Jean Marc Bourfin, Ernst Schelle and Neemi and Kristian Jarvi. He has conducted several orchestras in Portugal, China, Hong Kong, Slovakia and France. Several solo violin pieces, sonatas and a violin concerto by Portuguese composers have been dedicated to him. He was a professor at ESMAE - Porto's School of Music and Performing Arts and currently teaches at the Silva Monteiro Music Course and the Guilhermina Suggia School and at the Catholic University of Porto. He is resident conductor of the Bonj\u00f3ia Youth Orchestra and the Ant\u00f3nio Fragoso Symphony Orchestra.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
