Violinist Jorge Orozco is the co-founder of Strings Avenue Studio, where he maintains a vibrant violin studio. He has held teaching positions as violin adjunct professor at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., music faculty at the Georgetown Visitation School, and violin instructor at the Levine School of Music in Washington, D.C., as well as the Valencia Conservatory in Venezuela.<\/span><\/p>

Mr. Orozco was an integral part of the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras of Strathmore for 17 years, serving as conductor of two ensembles. His students have earned top honors in competitions and have gone on to study at leading institutions including the Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music, University of Michigan, University of Maryland, and the Paris Conservatory.<\/span><\/p>

As a performer, Mr. Orozco has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in Cuba, Venezuela, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal, and the United States. He was a member of the National Chamber Ensemble and served as concertmaster of the Avanti Orchestra and the Masterworks Music Festival Orchestra. He is an active chamber musician with the Strings Avenue Ensemble and the Musica Viva Orchestra, and has been a faculty member of the Douro Strings Summer Academy in Portugal since 2019.<\/span><\/p>

Mr. Orozco holds a Master\u2019s degree in Music Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he studied with Stephen Redfield, and a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy from the Instituto Superior de Artes in Havana, Cuba, where he studied with Roberto Vald\u00e9s. His festival experience includes the Texas Music Festival, Victoria Bach Festival, Havana Contemporary Music Festival, Vicksburg Chamber Music Festival, the Starling\u2013DeLay Symposium, and the Juilliard Conducting Workshop.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
